Bush’s State of the Union

One thing struck me about the State of the Union Speech last night- and it wasn’t that Hillary actually looked good physically (not like the scary ‘Llary that we’ve come to expect) or that Obama was trying almost too hard to look Presidential with his new sidekick Teddy Kennedy.  What surprised me about the speech was what Bush said.

Is it me, or did everything Bush have to say last night involve “more funding” from Congress. I think he even said “and with more funding from Congress, we can balance the budget!” and  “With more funding, we can reduce taxes!”

People! More funding = either more taxes or more debt—both of which SUCK US DRY! Don’t believe the hype—we need a cap on government spending with the new President. Only one person comes to mind that would do that…
